The Good, The Bad, and the . . .
cute little mini clutch that helped to put me on the map.
Today started out as bad days typically do. My sweet tot woke me at 6 am. I am so not a morning person, especially not when I've been up half the night sewing/watching Grey's. Then, when I decided my coffee needed warming up, the microwave decided it was on strike. It's less than a year old!!! What gives? Soap box moment: Why, oh why, are things made to be disposable? Napkins, toilet paper, diapers maybe. . . I can see those being disposable. But appliances? No one should have to replace appliances on a yearly basis. I have had a 5 month old sewing machine quit on me this year, now a 10 month old microwave. What next? My washer and dryer are fast approaching their first birthday. Hhmmm. Anyways, things did start to look up!
I met with a friend to give her items she custom ordered, had a nice lunch and chat with her, stopped on the way home to visit with other friends, and found out yet another friend is in town visiting. All good things. THEN, I see the weekly Etsy Finds email featuring new, emerging shops and (insert drumroll here) my shop was included!!!! That just about makes up for the lack of sleep and shoddily built microwave. Sorry to any of you who follow my Facebook Fan Page or Twitter. . .you're surely tired of hearing about this by now ;)
Have a great weekend!! I'm going to put my excitement and new found enthusiasm to good use the next few days.
