random bits. . .

Just a quick post today to share some pot holders I made for my mother while she was here visiting. Pretty sure it's become a yearly tradition as I made her a set last year also. Pretty useful gift, right?  I knew I wanted to use this awesome Melody Miller linen blend I got from Pinked Fabrics and then just dug around in my stash until I found something to go with it. I ended up having to use store bought bias tape which I'm not a fan of at all but oh well, at least the color is pretty.

Next on my to do list is a new project + tutorial using some fabric I received from Modern Yardage. Have you checked them out yet? Very cool concept! If all goes well I'll have that tutorial ready for you next week. As I'm sure most of you have heard by now, Google Reader will be defunct in a few days so now is the time to find an alternative way to follow all of your favorite blogs. I've always just used the reader on my Blogger home page and while I *think* that it won't be affected, I'm leaning towards switching over to Feedly. Here are some options below for making sure you don't miss any posts:

Follow my blog with Feedly

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I'm also on Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook if you'd like to keep up with me there! One last option...you can subscribe via email at the top right corner of the page.

  2. Hi! I love these. I'm obsessed with the Michael Miller Garden Pindot, too. Are you willing to share the source of your super cool lbg tags? I've been looking around...
    Cheers!

    1. thank you :) yes, those dots are awesome - might have to get more. i got my labels from a shop on etsy called 'worldwidelabels' it took about a month to get them but i really like them.

i also have labels from another shop called 'ananemone'. the labels she offers are fabric vs woven and she also offers iron on labels. if you go back a few posts you'll see a review i did on them :)
