happy mail

I've had a pretty great week mail-wise so I thought I'd share the spoils of my mailbox. . .

Now, this might make me kind of dorky, but I get really excited about getting fabric in the mail. Even when I'm the one who ordered it and paid for it. I mean, it's not like it's a surprise or anything. And I certainly don't get the same feeling when opening the trunk of my car after a shopping trip and pulling out a pack of paper towels. Nope, it's just fabric and I can't help but do a mini happy dance when I spy a package from any one of my favorite fabric shops in the mail box. Good times.

I also got a lovely package from Nicke of kiss kiss . . . Quilt. I won a giveaway she had on her blog and the prize was a surprise. Turns out it was an awesome surprise because she sent me fabric! She also sent me the sweetest little zipper pouch which will definitely come in handy. Thanks again, Nicke!

Last, but not least, I got a few more arts and crafts bags in the mail!! So, so cute and I can't wait to deliver them soon. I believe there are a few more on the way so I'm going to wait on those. Thanks to Virginia and Maria for your generosity.

Hopefully this ol' heat wave we're having here in the Deep South won't get the best of me and I'll be back later this week with another post. Fingers crossed, people. In the meantime, I've got an episode of Friday Night Lights to watch and some sewing to do!

  1. I love fabric :) If I had a sewing machine or knew how to sew I'd be buying fabric all the time. As it is, I have several yards of gorgeous fabric waiting to be made in to .... something.

  5. Not dorky at all! I do the same thing! I'll order fabric, then forget about it til it comes in the mail. It's like a happy surprise when i open the box and see my package has finally arrived.
