In Western Canada we are limited to one craft chain (Michael's) and one fabric chain (Fabricland) with the odd specialty hobby shop. I'm sure you talented folks can do it! Start small and build what you want. Everyone loves to support local independent businesses if you make it easy for them. Good luck!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8955910811975954924.post-3799669413335591642010-04-26T04:57:24.234-05:002010-04-26T04:57:24.234-05:00I have the same problem trying to get some Fast2Fu...I have the same problem trying to get some Fast2Fuse! I had to drive almost an hour just to go to a Hobby Lobby. More craft stores has been my favorite thing about moving to a bigger city lol.

Nice blog btw I'll be sure to add ya to my reading list! :)Tamishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00422326821152223550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8955910811975954924.post-83578913320551679422010-04-19T12:29:07.532-05:002010-04-19T12:29:07.532-05:00I feel your pain! I so wish I lived in a big city with all it's fabulous big-city offerings! At least I can get interfacing at WalMart, but it's not exactly a source of inspiration!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01317612977719868235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8955910811975954924.post-76744898300387201512010-04-19T11:37:07.329-05:002010-04-19T11:37:07.329-05:00Andrea- Thanks for the sweet offer! I'll just need to make sure to grab anything and everything I *think* I may need.

Laura - I have found a few things at the thrift store. Vintage buttons and a big bag of zippers were probably my luckiest finds. I'll need to go by there again soon. Since my daughter has hit that terrible 2 phase, we haven't done as much thrifting. If there is any place she hates more than a fabric store, it's the thrift store! Yikes.

Thanks so much for the lovely compliment-definitely nice to hear.Vanessa Hewellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05771713669884370925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8955910811975954924.post-16302441618570107092010-04-19T11:10:56.106-05:002010-04-19T11:10:56.106-05:00oh, honey. I will tell you though, i've had great luck finding random things at thrift stores. There's always bags of thread and notions for super cheap. I've stocked a lot of my supply closet with thrift store finds. Give that a shot!

oh, also. thanks for having such an amazing blog! The Wind and the Sailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10034076300457597973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8955910811975954924.post-27338754531706864732010-04-18T22:15:00.590-05:002010-04-18T22:15:00.590-05:00Yikes! Please let me know if you ever want me to stock up for you during one of their sales and send to you in a flat rate box. I can't stand having to go to three different places for three things, it's crazy!! I do admit I have the most awesome quilt shop about a 10 minute drive, but can't even go there but once a month when I can have time without the girls with. Maybe you could incorporate a sort of forced nap time with your roap trip? love your new header btwAnnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10317576044901684848noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8955910811975954924.post-40745872692883733432010-04-18T18:57:48.535-05:002010-04-18T18:57:48.535-05:00we have a small quilting shop here...but it's ...we have a small quilting shop here...but it's not exactly "Hip" iykwim. I get terribly jealous when I read about the girls in the Midwest and out West who have several shops nearby...my "quilt shops" are on Etsy!Elenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06075389034179626691noreply@blogger.com
