Other than sewing up an order, I've been busy working on the business end of things. I considered opening an Etsy shop for several reasons. One, I love Etsy. Who doesn't? From a shopper's standpoint at least. I could spend hours upon hours browsing through all the awesome stuff there. But, upon doing some research I decided that it might not be the best place to start out on. I've decided to give Artfire a whirl. Seems like a great place to test the "selling online waters". They have two types of shops you can open. . .one of them being FREE! No listing fees of any sort. There is a limit to how many items you can list with a free shop but I think starting small is the way to go. If you handmake stuff and would like to give selling your creations a chance, this seems like a very risk free way to begin. Definitely check it out. I haven't had a chance to list anything there yet, but once I do I'll post it here!
Good Luck! I can't wait to see what you post there.

Thanks! At the moment, I'm just listing stuff I already have made. Until I get caught up with everything and can come up with some new stuff. That's the fun part!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new shop! I hope it is very successful for you.:)
