the norah dress | sew fab sale. . .

Today is the last day of the Sew Fab Sale (affiliate link)! Get it while you can - sale ends tonight at 11:59 pm EST. In a nutshell, you get 19 patterns + a bonus pattern for $29.95. Works out to about $1.50 per pattern which is a pretty awesome deal. I whipped up this Norah Dress today (part of the bundle). It was such a quick sew - which is awesome when you're in a hurry. I had big plans for a photo shoot but that fell through so we had to make do with the front yard. Mosquitoes have taken over so we were outside for a total of 5 minutes. Fun times. Since I didn't start working on this tunic until earlier today - I didn't have Syd handy for measurements. I really ought to write those down somewhere! Anyways, I winged it and probably should have gone with a size or two smaller. No worries - this will fit for a long time! I used a triangle print cotton jersey blend from Girl Charlee - I love a great graphic print.

  1. Mosquitoes already? UGH. I always think I'll enjoy the Summer, and then I remember the bugs. And the heat. And the fact that we are all allergic to most types of sunscreen. Wompwomp. The top is adorable and I kind of wish my sewing committments would wind down so I could resew some of my faves, the Norah included!!

  2. Every time I clean up my sewing room I find gazillion pieces of paper with Little Monkey's measurements on them! She hates it when I measure her! We turned it into a game a couple of months ago and I measure her before bath. Then she gets to measure me. She usually tried to wrap the entire measuring tape around me and comments, "Oh! Big" hahaha Your tunic is gorgeous. Love the print!

  3. Ahhh! you always have the most gorgeous photos. I kind of like this all oversized. For some reason I always am so irritated when clothing comes out large, even though that's actually kind of a good thing. I think it's because I'm worried it's going to screw with the photoshoot. Ha. Love the triangles.
