leather accent fold over clutch | solids . . .

I haven't made any of these clutches in ages and never in solid fabrics. I found this cool twill fabric in lots of pretty colors here and thought I'd try it out. I'm usually drawn to prints over solids but I think I need to rethink that - I'm really loving the simplicity and clean look of solid fabrics!  I used topstitching thread for the first time to add a bit of detail. Pretty cool stuff - plan to use it more in the future. These clutches make great gifts since they're really easy to customize / embellish / personalize for the recipient.  They're also a fairly quick sew - especially if you skip the leather corners.

You can grab this pdf sewing pattern as part of the Sew Fab Pattern Bundle - but hurry because the sale ends tomorrow (May 13, 2014)!

p.s. - if you're having trouble tracking down suede or leather (I found mine at Hobby Lobby, you can pick some up online here!
